Assassin's Creed Reveals Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where hints of forbidden rituals and fearsome changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden group.
The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Transformations
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an unique katana alongside multiple items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Exclusive implements

Newest Free Story Update
This release also adds the game's latest free story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This lighthearted adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap characteristic techniques: Naoe reveals a dramatic interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also contains a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally explain some lingering questions from the main storyline.

This represents not the primary time the Assassin's Creed franchise has crossed over with famous anime series. The series formerly featured a 2020 collaborative story linking Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
